Anybody ever try this tea??

it could hurt if a person has allergies to the families of the herbs in it.

Something to always consider before taking "natural" products.

I agree. I'm always willing to try new things. I mean, do we all have to be at the mercy of these drug companies?! I say not.

When I was first diagnosed with colitis, my hubby went out on his own initiative (bless his heart) to a health food store and came back with some essiac herbs. I made my own tea. I never gave it a fair chance; it tasted awful. It is "supposed" to have cancer fighting benefits as well as building your immune system and detoxification. I don't think "they" have found any proof of that. As well, if you are pregnant, I've read you should not drink this tea. Not sure why. I suggest instead taking natural supplements that have been shown to help IBD symptoms, like probiotics. For me, natural antifungals (caprylic acid/olive leaf extract) have also been a blessing. I know for "me", they helped.

...but there is NO cure for UC...regardless.

Women who are pregnant should never take/use ginger tea/supplements..etc to help for nausea or gut discomfort (although, I would think that being pregnant would cause discomfort anyway..lol).
