Hello again!

Hi All! It has been so long. I don't even recognize the names here! I was here a few years (I think) back, and so much has happened - I am going thru a flare right now, and I came back on mostly for the support for the depression!  PREDNISONE! I am in an extreme amount of pain, so they've got me on a lot of stuff, so I'll try to make some sense while I catch y'all up! In the past few months, I have gone thru 4 moves, a divorce, death, money stresses, pet separation, etc., etc... major stuff. So whew! Of course, I wind up in a flare. Then, last week they even hospitalized me. Apparently the oral steroids just weren't working. I had a colonoscopy and they found out that the UC had spread, but there was a "clear" (unaffected) spot in between 2 diseased parts of my colon. They think it may be Crohn's because of that, but they are not sure, since I had been taking oral steroids they think I may have healed up a little in the middle because of that. I have an appointment on the 6th to find out. Anyway, thru all this, I met the most wonderful man, and he has been so supportive of me, and we wound up moving in together. Now, with these steroids, it's like I am a totally different person. It's like it's not just depression, it's almost a total personality change. I'm trying to stay positive, and luckily his mom's a nurse so she's kind of explained to him that I'll be emotional, but I am worrying so much for us lately, I'm afraid it'll affect my flare. **SIGH**  Gah! So is that a good introduction?? LOL! Is anyone else here going thru the dreadnisone dumps? I'd really love to hear from anyone about it and talk thru it - I've always jumped on the boards during my flares for support and everyone's so great here, I look forward to getting to know everyone!
