okay, I had to get a letter from doc saying what I was diagnosed with so I can turn it into the insurance company - High risk pool - they have to take me but I am going to pay dearly for it.
Anyway on the sheet it says Pan Ulcerative Colitis = I always just thought Ulcerative Colitis was all the same.
I have had this for about 8 years, but after the birth of our son, I got very very sick and finally after 8 months, touch me and I would bruise and 100lbs less I gave and went back to the doc. By the time he got me and did the scope he said my colon etc looked like raw hamburger ( sorry to be so graphic) - anyway did good on prednisone abut the ascol would go strait threw me. He switched to colozal = and we started coming of the predinsone - well then last December 17 2005
I got a tummy virus and an infection in my leg.
They never did figure out what the infection was or were it came from, just left a huge whole in my leg and took months to heal. They tried to do a couple of skin graphs but that did not take, the infection doc said that it could have been due to the predinsone -
So I stopped taking all of it, the 1/2 month in the hospital was the worst time of my life. I missed my family and my husband was upset because he was scared.
We have decided to try a new GI doctor, the last one would say -- go eat what ever - it wont change your UC - but it did not take me long to figure out that if I age fast food more than a couple of times I would get sick.
I would just like to be more NORMALL - or as normal as I can be.
My UC is better but I still have a little blood and I still FREAK myself out and dont like to leave, when I keep my mind calm I seem to do better.
Heck the first doc I went to see had me set up for surgery with in a week, before any test he had decided that it was my gallbladder. I am so glad that I stopped and got a second opinion. - My gallbladder is fine.
Sorry for the rambling - MY DH does not get it, he loves me and tries, but my whole family just does not understand the whole UC and how one thing works for one person but not for another and why it comes and goes and there is no real black and white.
