I did the same as Expecting. This arrangement has its pros & cons. Main "pro" is that GP is intelligent, knows a lot about
pharmaceuticals, etc. "Con" is that GP & gastro consult re my procedural complaints & can gang up on me.
The GP is more light-hearted, though, with major focus on wellness-- which has its merits. A big factor in GP competence, I think, is the breadth of their educational background & residency training-- also their experience treating or non-exposure to diverse patient populations. / Old Hat (nearly 30 yrs with left-sided UC; currently on 3 X 3 Colazal daily for July flare in descending colon; should be back in remission soon)
