Diarreah

I have a questions. My diarreah is not water, it's very, very mushy stool. I have it all the time. Somtimes I have to the bathroom 4 times before I leave the house, after I eat I have diarreah (mushy stools) do you think I should address this with my GI? Even when I was told I had no more ulcers and inflammation was gone my stools were mush. Is it the medication? Do anyone of you that are in a flare  have formed stools?

The c-scope was almost 2 years ago. Since then a constant flare. Yes, the rectal meds are the only thing that stops the bleeding for me. The oral helps with the left side pain and some less urgency, but the rectal stops the bleeding. I did start taking them 2 days ago. I realized too, that one of the supplements I'm taking has a laxative effect. Good to know 2 weeks after a sore bum!

two years ago? that was then...this is now, and you need to deal with UC, its flares and symptoms ongoing.

I always say...know what you're putting into your mouth what's given by others who claim to know what will "cure" you.

You need to get back to your doctor and get on the meds.

Two meds are suggested...oral/rectal...both 5ASA since they worked well for you in the past. That's it. Stay on them and see how you improve.

What I would be concerned about is what else you're taking from the naturopath and if there could be anything in there that's a salicylate or if there could be anything counterindicative with 5ASA meds.

You need to do the research on everything you're taking that he's given you.

Again, this is now...you're flaring I would say. Go back to your GI and maybe he can do a quick look-see as to what's going on in there.
