novo-azathioprine??

My doctor told me that he is going to start IMURAN as ASACOL did not work. He worte Imuran on prescription.

Pharmist gave  me NOVO-Azathioprine. I did some search on google and on this forum it does not look me same medicine with different name.

Before starting, I am just wondering that if pharmacy did mistake or if it is same type of medicine?

Did anyone use this for colitis?

I know that azathioprine is generic for imuran but I don't know about the novo part of it. My bottle just says "azathioprine generic for imuran" on it. I would call the pharmacy and ask. I've become good friends with my pharmacist, they know a lot more than we think.
