Yet another sinus infection and ear infection

Do you think a "falling apart" tattoo would be cute on my forehead?! Just got back from the doctor after waking up w/ throbbing ears. Actually I went to a Minute Clinic at CVS b/c my primary couldn't see me. She was super nice....great overall experience and I got a flu shot (was able to get one
b/c no fever). Anyway both ears are infected and another sinus infection. This time they put me on Cefuroxime. Just wanted to be pitiful and vent for a minute. My little 2 year old has a sinus infection too! B/w the preschool germs and me on immune suppresents we have had every bug under the sun!

Oh no Tab! How miserable! You can whine and vent as much as you want :)

When my ears get like that I like to lay on a heating pad - on LOW heat. It's very soothing!

Extra hugs to your little one as well!

Oh no!! sorry you have that, I have heard that they can be very painful especially on top of everything else.

I hope you and your 2yr old get better soon!

There is nothing more miserable than an ear ache.  I actually like the idea of the heating pad - that sounds like a great idea.  You might want to breathe in some steam with a drop of mint essential oil.  I put mine in a cheap facial steamer I got at the drug store for 10 bucks.  That always helps my sinus infections.

Hope your little one is faring better.

Naw, he would be just too adorable! :) Just a FYI, when I was younger, newly diagnosed with young children - I too got constantly sick. You name it, I got it. I felt like I was living on antibiotics and Tylonel. But as my kids got older and understood the need to good personal hygiene, things got a LOT better. Since you've been getting sick so often, when was the last time you had your WBC tested?

Just had bloodwork 2 weeks ago. I think it was CBC (am I making that up?), b12 and folate. I repeat in a month. Thanks for the reassurance. The little one does have a tendency to put everything he touches into his mouth. He just started preschool last month so he is swimming in germs! I'm just tired of feeling rundown...opps starting to sound pitiful again.

Maybe you need to build a decontamination chamber on the outside of your house and walk him through it after school???

I don't have kids, but all I can recommend is lots of handwashing and wipes to wipe off everything! I can just imagine how frustrating it would be... Hang in there and just remember how cute and cuddly he is :)

I like it! I wonder if that would be expensive?? Ha ha! I am totally psycho about handwashing, sanitizing, wiping down every surface he touches. I slept better last night but the antibiotic is making me dizzy.
