So, in order for it to work effectively, it would have to be running just as one sits on the toilet. Wondering about spray/poo particles getting in, etc...you know what I mean?
After that thought comes the ewww factor.

You know what first came to mind when I read that? You know how serial killers, pet horders or whatnot have the police called on them because people walking by smell something rotten? If we were to get one of these toilets, do you think the police would be called on us???? LOL

LOL I thought about that too Sherry.  Those usual ceiling fans in the bathroom are bad enough...but one in the toilet is just asking for trouble.

my family HATES it when I am sick and have went to the bathroom -
we are planing to add on - and I am going to put in a bathroom with just a toilet in its own little room!!

This is great. I want one. I have the "water closet" in my bathroom but this steps it up a notch. I know there's a baffel system but what about the possibility of an insect making it past the baffel and fan? I might be concerned something would make it's way in.

I picture a Tim Allen type on home improvement, where he wants to add more power to everything and so an upgrade would be like sitting on one of those pressurized airplane toliets. A freaky thought.

Hey has anyone considered a 'bidet'? After so much use of toliet paper or after an accident, it looks like that would be a nice thing to have.

A courtesy flush or two if you're in there a while can go a long ways toward keeping the odor down. This is particularly helpful in a public restroom. In combination with the ceiling exhaust fan and a can of air freshener, I see no need for an expensive toilet replacement.

LOL! Tim Allen type project! relativelyquantum, I can see it now... What a picture!

shrek-hunk has a bidet which he really likes.

Okiemom - in our last house we had a bathroom where the toilet was closed off - it was great! I truly miss it :( That will be in ANY house I build though!

The new ceiling fans have some awesome power and are very soundless - probably a much more realistic and cost effective solution to this strange toilet contraption.

you know, in the house i'm living, renting a room, the air circulates all through the house and one of the intakes is down in my room. the owner of the house, also a friend, had his mom staying there and she felt really nauseous, thinking that i was cooking something really gross in the morning and I had to say that my food is really quite plain, so it couldn't be me. it later dawned on me that in the morning my BMs were probably the culprit... i didn't bother to clarify this to him.

What an invention!!!Brilliant, you could actually help save the ozone layer by buying one of these. I mean the amount of airfresheners us guys use must be doing some damage. :)
