I recall there was some discussion a while back about
the tiny German study that used enteric-coated PC (lecithin) to get some high remission rate for UC... It;s basically impossible to make your own or even have a compounding pharmacy make enteri-PC capsules unfortunately (I contacted about
20 to no avail and gave up at that point), so there was some discussion about
using enemas to do the same thing. I just tried to mix some liquid PC with water and it doesn't work-- it is completely water insoluble. Just wondering if anyone has tried or looked into this. Maybe a compounding pharmacy could mix it more effectively into some sort of solution (I'll have to start emailing them all over again!)
On a sidenote, the same mixing problem exists with Vitamin E if one happens to try that Vit E enema idea that is posted friom time to time- basically won't mix in water, period.
