Again, I don't necessarily support any of those guys out there. Some of those guys are over the top. For me, it was try to find something that worked...for me...and I didn't care who gave me the information, as long as it made logical sense, and I didn't have to pay a lot of money. So, after researching on my own, I decided to follow an antifungal diet (UC symptoms can have a fungal etiology) after reading and hearing others' success stories and learning a little of the science behind it. (more can be read on knowthecause.com if you are really interested. Diet is under FAQ section on home page)
It did not cost me any more than buying meat/fish/poultry, most veggies and certain fruits to begin. I didn't really pay attention to the "organic" labels either. Yeah, you miss the sugar and processed foods, the convenience of opening a box or can, but when I started feeling so much better, I never wanted to look back. I have become adept at becoming creative with my meals and desserts. I am still human and go on my binges of brownies and potato chips! I also took, and still do take caprylic acid or olive leaf extract, less than 10 dollars for 2 months supply....cheaper than a co-pay for prescription drugs. Can I eat everything I want again? NO! I will always have to moderate the intake of sugar and other assorted goodies :), but I don't really crave it any more like I used to. I know too much of it can make me feel sick. I'm willing to trade it for better health. Again, that is my personal decision, and not I or anyone else can tell you what you are doing is wrong for you. But, perhaps if you are not getting better with what you have always been doing, maybe it is time to change, and try something different. Personally, I wouldn't spend a lot of money buying lots of others' products until I first experimented with something like changing my diet (and not just eliminating a food here and there for a few days). Dunno.........You have to do what you are comfortable with.
