Running a half-marathon for the CCFA!

Hey everyone,

I haven't posted in a while, and the reason is because I've been feeling great for the first time in several years! In fact, I'm feeling so well that I've decided to run the Miami half-marathon with the Michigan chapter of the Crohns and Colitis Foundation of America. I'm super excited and just wanted to let everyone know about it.

I also plan on running this!  I just recently contacted the Dallas chapter but havent heard from them yet. 

I love the idea of this fundraiser!  I am very active in Team in Training, which is a similar program to this Team Challenge....but for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  We raise millions and millions of dollars per year from this fundraiser for cancer research and it is about time that the CCFA does something like this to get people involved.  I am so excited and may just have to change my cause! ;)

Anyone training for this in the Dallas area???

PS......I havent posted in ages either and I apologize for that.  I do lurk from time to time to see how everyone is doing though!  :)

What exactly is a half-marathon? How many miles is it?
