OMG OMG OMG...

okay, i am in some serious need of some answers here.

i thought the last few weeks i was doing so good and healing... ive been having normal bm's and omg it so feels like im having a baby.

it hurts  SOOOOOOOOOOOO bad i sounds like im giving birth on the toilet.

then a few hours later i go again and there is blood and bits.

whats going on?

i was assuming on a logical basis, that for the last year or so my colon has not had anything solid go through it.  and since it is flaring and inflammed and raw and tender, that a solid bm passing through is making it bleed.  and ripping it up a bit.

or, im not healing and still stuck in a flare???

which is it?

should i take a stool softener maybe to let me colon heal without putting it thru the hell of passing a formed stool?

what do you think?

i thought the pred was working, but then the blood would come.. so im not sure now where im at or whats going on?

the bm's usually are blood free and fill up the toilet (due to the pred making me eat so much, that im producing a lot of crap and it all wants to come out at once)

Hey sorry....been a little hectic at my house. It sounds to me like you are still in a flare. Have you ever tried antispasmatics? I have taken Hyosyamine. That can help some w/ the pressure. I have totally felt like I was giving birth on the toliet only to see blood. I don't think I would try a stool softener w/out running it by your GI. I only used one once when I hadn't had a bm for 8 days. Are you keeping up w/ your other meds? I am not sure what Colifoam is.....rectal med? How long have you been on the pred? Still at 50mg?

Hi Kazy, sorry not much time to get on here this weekend. I was on pred for a monht and a half and I was still in a horrible flare then I went on the hydrocortisone e's and cipro and within 2 weeks my flare was much much better. about 3 weeks ago was when the bleeding stopped (after 1.5 mos of e's and nearly 3 mos of pred), I don't think the pred helped/is helping me much, I believe it is mostly the e's.

I've just started having semi normal bm's sometimes the past few weeks they are almost fully formed and they hurt sometimes. This past week, I had a flipping log and after that I felt like someone squeezed a lemon up my bum every time I had to go and it would generally hurt, just in my rectum. I just started to feel normal today and I did have a tiny amt of blood the other day, I don't know why, I think my bum was just sore and tired, but no blood since.....I was thinking maybe I had a hemi or something too. Today I feel much better and am hoping not to go thru that again.

I guess to make a long story short, I had a while of D, B, semi normal, yellow, green, semi normal, D, B prior to a few weeks ago, then it became more and more normal, every couple days, it was like that line in Forest Gump, except I felt like, "my poo is like a box of chocolates, I never know what I am going to get". I swear if I poop plaid I will not be surprised!
