caprylic acid

I have started to take caprylic acid as i have a white type of covering on my tongue. Could this covering be linked to my UC, either as a sign of a fungal problem or as a sign that it is a Fungal problem that caused my UC?

Will caprylic acid help with this problem? How much caprylic acid should i be taking each day?

I am currently on remicade, azathioprine and asacol.

i can't remember how many mgs i took when i tried it, but i think i followed what the bottle said. i know some other folks will respond to this and help out.

just wanted to throw in my 2 cents and tell you to please keep a close eye on how you are feeling. i did feel the normal die off reaction and had a "sluggish bowel" for a few days, but at the end of taking it for 2 weeks, i started seeing blood and i was previously feeling pretty good.
not everything is "harmless" for everyone. listen to your body!

it's possible that i had a white coating on my tongue, but i often do since the onset of UC. a white coating can be many things but very well could be fungus related. oral thrush can make a white coating but often has sores also...
