Does anyone experience mild nausea with Asacol, and possibly a loss of appetite.

Those symptoms can be a side effect of the med and if it continues to get worse or persists, you should contact your doctor.

I experience a lot of nausea. If it's from the asacol or what, I'm not sure...

I have been experiencing quite a bit of nausea, too. I'm also not sure if it's from the Asacol.

Nausea and lack of appetite can also be the nature of the beast. However if one is fine with no nausea then they start a medication then have it, then it can be attributed to the medication. I never had nausea with Asacol but there were several times I wanted to throw up while going to the bathroom because of the pain.

When I was on asacol before I started encort I had nausea and a stomach ache that wasn't there before. It did help my symptoms alot although they didn't go away. I always thought maybe that the asacol made food stay in my system longer and since my system doesn't like that it made me feel ill.

The other possibility is that you have very low rectal inflammation ... it can cause nausea..believe it or not.

I am always nauseas. I take zofran for it, works pretty well. You can also try ginger...either a tea or something or if you can stand it chew a little peice of raw ginger. It helps.
