Has anyone heard of enhanced oral chelation (vitamin suppliment) for cleaning arteries of calcium?

my mom had bypass surgery about 10 yrs ago and is on many medications since.  She told me that she was having chest pain & numbness in her left arm a few weeks ago and her boss (a priest) had given her a bottle of enhanced oral chelation (a vitamin suppliment).   Today she told me she feels okay and has lost 8 lbs. in two weeks.  I had looked up enhanced oral chelation however, it basically pulls up companies that you can buy the product from.   So, I was wondering if anyone here has heard or take it themselves?   It has something to do with detoxifying, cleaning your arties from calcium, & metal?

Sounds too good to be true but, you never know.

I hope Mom is live & thriving (I just found your 2007 chelation question today). I had my quad-bypass in 1998, it's 10 years later & I'm now 81 & happy (a retired physician).

It's absolutely necessary to watch the diet. You can 'cheat' occasionally, but stick to eating less no matter what. Drink plenty of plain water. WALK as exercise is sufficient & should be done daily. Do NOT go beyond the point of breathlessness & perspiration in anything.

lets be honest, if placebo really did help the body to lose that much weight and help her feel good then we wont need heart prevent drugs, cancer preventing treatments, etc would we. Who are we to say that its bogus? Like you asked in your question, ask soemone who HAVE used it not someones "make believe" that only the BIG drug companies have best intrest. Guess what, people who have lived the longest claimed that they never-rarly used any type of drug. But at the same time I do hope it isnt something like "fake", i dont want to say snake oil, because we all know that snake poison is used to treat snake bites!!

To WebMaster: I apologize for stating advice, interpreted as medical. People should DEFINITELY see their own doctor for all medical advice. Ant other ideas are strictly anecdotal. ALWAYS seek assistance from a qualified medical physicin regarding medical conditions --- other advice is simple anecdotal and provided only as encouragement for those who display unwillingness to listen to their own doctors' medical advice.
