Does everyone have a Echo Or Scan of some sort at their 1 month Check up?
My Cardio did not mention this & I was wondering what they exactly do at this 1st Post Procedure check up.

And then most have a 6 month & 12 month check up?

I had a echo w/ a bubble at post op then at 1 mos, 6mos and still to come the one year!

I didn't. My check-up was just a normal visit the Doctor type check-up although I did have an EKG. I had an echo w/bubble study done at 6 months and will have another at 1 year.

 Your 6 mos echo w/ bubbles showed it did not close yet, like mine right? I have read some studies that say depending on the size, it can close after 1 year and your risk of stroke is not 4x the risk. I will get you that website if you are interested? RF1

rf1, I agree that if it closes the stroke risk is minimal. The articles I read on PFO's remaining open after a year indicated that there was a 4x risk of further stroke if open after a year. I think I googled under second PFO closure device.
