for my time line, it is important that you know i work overnights (11p-7a)
my typical base line b.p is 130/70 and pulse 70
last sunday i got off work and had a headache. at about 1p my headache actually woke me up, something that has only happened one other time in my 33 years. i did not have any ibuprof, or similar so i took a dose of nyquil knowing it had tylenol in it. that day i slept 12 hours and woke up with a headache. i came to work and a gal i work with took my blood pressure, it was 156/104. i took it VERY easy at work and when i got off i had another gal take my blood pressure in which it had not changed. my dr. was able to get me in on monday. my b.p was the same but my pulse was about 150 *resting. it was so bad that even my eyeballs were pulsating. he did an ekg which he said was normal and sent me home with a beta blocker. i went back on tuesday for an echo (not sure what it said) and when i was in for that my b.p was 148/100 and my pulse was 110. wed. i called the dr. again because i could feel my pulse raising again. and it had it was close to the 150 it was on monday. so i got a lovely 24hr halter ekg. i went and had it removed on thurs. along with an appt to a cardiologist for this coming monday. and as i sit here on a sat i can feel my pulse ticking away again, the headache has returned, shaky, weak, nauseated... i dont want it thought that i am a hypochondriac (i dont know why, but i worry about that) but i am just getting more worried. and i know its prob not good to worry right now as that only will raise my pulse. im not sure what to do tho, wait it out til monday when i see the cardio dr., call my family doc, go to e.r., i am not sure at what point it is serious enough that i should be concerned on a weekend.
