Once in a while, I get this thing where my heart, for no reason, goes really fast (even more so than after a strenuous workout). I get dizzy and my chest hurts. It ranges from a few seconds to almost 10 mins, and when it stops, it stops abruptly. Kind of like "butterfly chest" or whatever. It goes dadadadadada da da da da. Anyway, I've been trying to figure out what it is, and all I could find was supraventricular tachycardia.
What's freaking me out is I've read if it's ventriular tachidardia, it can be life threatening. It lists the symptoms that I have during these episodes, and says to call 911 immediately, but I never have because it usually goes away. And when I go the the dr's. they just say it's because I'm anxious or stressed, but they have no idea! So if it's really that life threatening, shouldn't dr's know about
it?
Anyway, I'm just confused as to whether it's supraventricular tachycardia or ventricular tachycardia, since apparently there's a big difference. I've never been diagnosed with heart problems or any other health problems for that matter, and I'm only 17!
Btw, this really only happens once a month or less, and only lasts for less than 10 mins.
