This is my second post. I posted last week and I cannot even find it. I guess I did something wrong.

At any rate I had a CAT scan last week. An Echo showed I have a mass in the fluid sac around my heart.  QUESTION: If the mass needs to be removed, how is that done? I am scared to have heart surgery. My mother died of heart disease.

Any help you can give me would be appreciated. :-)

Marion --Welcome.   You did nothing wrong, your original post is further down the page.   You haven't received any answers probably because no one knows the answer to your problem.   I encourage you to have an open discussion with your physician with all your questions and fears.   Good luck to you.
