Heart stress test costs

I just got our bill from my heart stress test it was almost 6,000 (one day test)
I had a stress test with IV because iam not able to jog on that machine
WOW i couldnt believe the cost
I live in the state of Wisconsin
Is this reasonable or expensive?

I think my last stress test was like 600 dollars but i didnt have the iv. I am in Illinois, it sounds really high to me.

Ok i thought that was way too high....but it was my first stress test ( good news all came back normal)

Here are the charges:
CARDIAC PERFUSION 06/18/2009 $2,920.00
CARDIAC STRESS TEST 06/18/2009 $857.00
MYOCARDIO PERFUSION STUD 06/18/2009 $612.00
NUCLEAR MED 06/18/2009 $554.00
SUPPLIES 06/18/2009 $420.00
DRUGS & INJECTIONS 06/18/2009 $324.00

Plus a doctor visit to tell me all was ok
OFFICE/OUTPATIENT VISIT 07/02/2009 $189.00
How do i question the amount of above charges
Because our insurance i know will not cover all this cost confused

WOW, I live in Florida and I had a Nuclear Stress Test (treadmill with IV) and that test came to $ 1,700-. Your was a WHOPPER!

well I am glad everything came back ok as long as you can survive the bill.

You should check with the CONSUMERS' PROTECTION Dept. of the Federal Trade Commision, because the bill seemed to be extremelly high. Many hospitals are overcharging to compensate for those patients who don't pay.
