Left Arm Pain Concern

I am glad to have you with us.  Pain, discomfort covers a wide spectrum of pain  or discomfort,  (Subjective).  Referring specifically to the question of arm pain during a heart attack , the emission spectrum of pain that radiates  to the arm is wavelike and there is a variation in its intensity (sharp or dull).

I took care of a man once that had Left leg pain and he was having a heart attack so when in doubt,  call you Dr. or seek treatment.

Welcome to the club of the "what ifs?".   I think I am a founding member and have gone round and round on the circle of worrying. 

When you find yourself wondering, "What if..." Stop! Take a deep breath; breathe in through the nose, hold the air in your lungs for a count of four, then slowly let the air out through the mouth. While you are doing this, consider the possibility that you are being unrealistic.  Focus on positive or neutral outcomes. This is one thing that works well for me.

The most common  side effects I found for Bentyl included but were not limited to blurred vision; constipation; decreased sweating; difficulty sleeping; dizziness; drowsiness; dry mouth; headache; lightheadedness; loss of taste; nausea; nervousness.

Tightness in the chest was listed as a severe reaction so you may want to ask your Dr. about the Bentyl just to make sure it is a good drug for you and safe.
