Is it an Heart Attack? Do i have a block in my heart?

Pls help,

I am 26 yrs.

For the past 6 months, I have been having some pain in my chest for not more than a few seconds. But last friday i had some discomfort on my left side of the chest for close to 4-5 hrs. So i decided to visit a private hospital for the check up. I was done the ECG, ECHo and the TMT.

My ECG and ECHO were quite normal but my TMT had a slightest of variations (Very very slight) at higher speeds. It was normal at lesser speeds.

The docter told me there might be a block in the heart which is not clear from the results. So he docter suggested me to do an angiogram but i am very scared to do it. Pleae suggest

Good Morning and welcome to HealingWell. 

This is a everyday procedure now, fast and mostly painless. But I advise you before submitting yourself to this procedure, and  without any waste of time, go through another treadmill test with a different cardiologist to confirm whether you really need an angiogram and then go ahead. Further has the present Doctor given you the treadmill test report. Is there an indication mentioned at the end of report which shows that your performance at the treadmill indicated some abnormality during exercise. Have you discussed that with the doctor ? You have a right to know all that before accepting your doctor's advice. If your doctor does not answer your questions whole heatedly and convincingly then I would definitely get a second opinion.

 

You truly need to follow up with your Dr. re your concerns.

Thank you Kitt. It was nice to read ur consoling words. The doctor did discuss it with me and also did write it as minor variations but did not write angiogram was required. He wanted to do the angiogram immediately the next day. So as per your suggestion i have decided to take up the TMT with another doctor. Will keep you posted.

PLease advise.... COuld u let me know on the possible outcomes of the angiogram and the possible treatment for the same.....
