New to forum.. Valve Regurgitation

Hi, this is my first post and I have a question. I had an episode where I woke with severe chest pain and I went to get some heartburn medicine. I felt I was uncordinated walking, then I fell and passed out. When I came to, I was still having severe pains, but also unable to move or talk. I didn't go see a doctor (I know stupid), but I just thought it was severe heartburn. I have always had chest pain, but have lots of heartburn. I did see my gastro doctor 2 weeks later and she got me into a heart doctor the next day. My echo came back with aortic valve sclerosis and all three other valves (mitral, pulmonary and bicuspid) have mild regurgitation. My carotid artery test came back with less than 50% stenosis in both arteries.  I am having a stress test done soon, so I haven't talked to my doctor  on results yet. Should I be concerned about the findings or is it something minor?

Hello and welcome to HealingWell !  Anytime you have a significant event happen such as your " severe chest pain and I went to get some heartburn medicine. I felt I was uncordinated walking, then I fell and passed out" you should call 911 first ........now that I have done my preaching  :-) I have to follow up with the following,  you have a newly dx heart issue and I would take that seriously, talk with your Dr. and make informed decisions on where you go from here.

I would not catastrophize the results of the echo but move forward with your stress test. 

Remember we are here for you so please do post or vent away here whenever you feel like it.

Oh my,  do I really sound like a preacher ?  I didn't mean to sound that way.  I am always thinking safety first whenever I read chest pain.  My Mother had complete heart block and kept passing out in bed...................she called me from over 100 miles away and I told her to call 911 while I drove frantically through the middle of the night to get to the hospital in my hometown.  This was years ago but I know fainting is not normal and can be caused by some pretty serious conditions.

I appreciate your care and concern. I thought it was sweet of you. I hope your mom is ok. I know I can't believe I ignored it. I know better. I have other health issues lupus and history of blood clots. Thank goodness God watches out for me, but I need to do my part. I have a stress test Wed. I really appreciate your concern.
