Could PVC'S be caused by Gerd?

I got my heart checked in January everything is fine go holter monitor, eco and stress test all normal.

Sympathetic response generated from the discomfort of GERD may predispose one to PVCs. Anything that increases sympathetic tone may increase the incidence of PVCs.

If you continue to have concerns re your PVCs do seek out a second opinion.

Good Morning Kitt

Thanks so much for your answer, I am sure you understand how I feel,I am having a bad week everday with this terrible sensation. Like I said I got my heart checked and everythig seems normal, I did call my cardiologist and asked to talk to him so I'm still waiting on a phone call. I am 29 and can't understand why this is happening to me. I am trying to avoid any heavy food just in case this is Gerd related also I am in my PMS days I read it could be related. What I know for sure that right before my period I get lots of hearburn and acid. I hope this goes away soon.

I used to have many "unexplained" PVC's and went through all the tests, Holter monitored etc and never had an explanation until my diagnosis of Crohn's disease. My cardiologist explained that as gas/stool passes through my intestine, it is causing stimulation of the Vagus nerve and this was causing my PVC's. He told me that my PVC's were harmless and if they got worse to come back. This was about 4 years ago. I still have the PVC's and get very uneasy when they happen but watching what and how much I eat seems to help settle them down. If that doesn't, Xanax helps me also.

Gabriela - Yes, GERD can cause arrhythmias. I've posted quite a bit about my experiences and the topic of "cardioesophageal reflex" (with an e, not a u) or "linked angina." You can read the posts by putting those terms into the search box, right up under join healing well, at the top of the page. You can also google the terms. A lot of my posts are found by google also.

My triggers are mostly from sulfite sensitivity, which you can also google and search. If I eat something with more than my tolerance amount of sulfite preservative or natural sulfite (pork, onions, etc.) it will cause reflux which triggers arrhythmias, usually sinus tachycardia. A lot of people have posted about this trigger on the allergy forum.
