Hello,
I've had tachycardia for about two years now that is linked to anxiety but I don't believe is solely caused by it. I've had the typical tests; EKGs, Echocardiogram, Blood Work, Halter Monitor (24 hr), and a Chest X-Ray. Of course as these things go all of these came back clear last year and eventually the palps went away. However this year things have come back with a vengeance and especially the past 3 weeks have been rough. I have a cardiologist appointment but it's been moved back a week and now is s full month away. I'm experiencing heart palps/flutters daily, mostly when at rest. I check my bp ritually and normally it is "perfect" 107/65 p 65. I do take a Beta Blocker (Atenolol 25mg 2/day) for the tachycardia and that is why my pulse is controlled. I am very worried about my heart's condition and frustrated that my cardiologist appointment is so far away. If you think it would benefit you to wear a Halter monitor I would recommend doing so, if not for peace of mind. They aren't very intrusive and they can give you answers to your questions. Also do you have acud reflux or heartburn after you eat? If so it might be a GI problem.
