Hello everyone,
I'm 22 yr old and a new member of this site. I used to always read these for peace of mind but I would really like to talk to anyone who will listen.
I am always under a lot of stress with school and I have IBS and occasional heartburn. about a year or so ago I started getting very bad panic attacks which lead to heart palps. The fluttering, skipped beat, or hard thump ones... Not the racing kind. This was horrifying to me and I had numerous tests done that all say I am fine and it's normal but whenever I have them really bad I worry that the doctors missed something and there has to be something seriously wrong if I'm having them this bad and my heart is going to just stop. Sometimes it will be when I'm exercising, or just sitting on the couch, or lately if I'm laying in bed and have any kind of gas I will get them in my chest and throat and it will throw me up out of my bed it feels like and I'll have to catch my breathe!
Does this sound familiar to anyone? Please help.

Have you seen a cardo doctor for these problems that you have listed.

Yes. The did an echo and a monitor and told me the palps were nothing to worry about. I'm just having problems with believing that.

Hi Kelsey I am new to this site as well And I have had the same problems when I first got them I felt the same exact way. I went to a primary doctor first and she said possible Anxiety. Then after the 24 hr heart monitor it read that I also had Irregular heart beat. She also said that it was normal for every one to have it but some just feel it more then others I'm one of the lucky ones who get them and she sent me to cardio and he said that everything was okay. Now i just have to live with it and take pills to help the beat of the heart go normal. I noticed for me it's got to be a lot of body stress and daily stress. And work stress

I'm here to talk to if you want Im 37 and just got diagnosed with anxiety and irregular heart beat this year and it sucks not having people to talk to who don't understand what I'm going threw.

Hi Kelsey,

I had palpitations and racing heart beat which can last for days. Suffers from panic and anxiety too. Am going to a cardio for check up just to be sure. I totally understand how you're feeling right now and as always, anxiety tends to make everything much much worse!

Im also 22 btw.
