kawasaki disease

:shakehead Two years ago Dec. my son had kawasaki disease. Due to Dr. misdiagnosis his fever went over seven days to about sixteen days. This terrible mistake caused permanent coronary damage to my son. He has giant anyurisms at 14mm and will be taking coumadin indefinately. I am very concerned about the effects this will have on his health, but can not risk the alternative.

Hi wentumolo, Welcome to HW Forums. I don't know anything about Kawasaki Disease. I took Coumadin for many years and now don't. There are other medications along with treatments for clots and such. I hated taking it and often referred to is as rat poison but when a blood clot damaged my first mediport I wasn't about to clog another one so I took the Coumadin. I works and does what its meant to do. I wish your son better health. Good luck
