I am confused! I have been very active with long distance biking, running, healthy eating and working out. No high blood pressure and no artery buildup.
I was having trouble ramping up this spring for cycling training especially on any climbs. I just had a ct scan and I have a thoracic aortic ascending aneurysm of 4.3 cm. reading everyone's posts I know I am not alone. my concern is how much do i cut out? i see from posts not to lift weights and I am glad to hear that exercise options are available. ,but at a heart rate less than 130. I just recently started paddle boarding, but don't get the same exercise endorphin fix. I am still running, but feel like I need to cut back cycling.
How do you look for a doctor that knows about active lifestyles and when to have surgery to prevent exposure to ruptures while exercising?
