Hi everyone.. In may my dad was having irregular heart beats, so we took him to the doctor after a series of test he had a heart cath he had 4 blockages and they could not be stinted. He had to have bypass surgery... He did excellent from his surgery. And was released from the hospital within a week....3 weeks later we found him passed away in his chair..... This was July 21 of this year....
I'm a type 2 diabetic..slightly over weight. Not obese... I been having chest pain.. Left arm pain... Left shoulder...I went and seen my dads cardiologist.. He did a stress test and it was slightly abnormal,,, so 2 days ago I had a heart cath....to our surprise my "ramus" artery is 80% blocked...I don't remember much of what the doctor said I know where the blockage is located is to risky for him to stint it....
He prescribed me 10mg bystolic ,,, 40 mg lostatin,,,I'm only 38... Any of you have any experience with this?? Do they do bypass on ramus blockage if medicine doesn't work?? What's the chances of a heart attack from one blocked artery?? My chest pains are not unbearable. I wonder if my blockage is causing it?? Confused and worried I don't see the cardiologist until oct 29....very worried since I just lost my dad he was only 66... If anyone has similar blockage can you post your experiences and what doctors did for u? Ty very much
