"Runs" of PVC/PAC confusion.....

Hi I'm a 27 yr old male that has been having PVC/PACS for a couple months now. They conveniently don't show up on any EKG test I've had but I feel the pause in the beat and the thud afterwards. What I'm confused on is what constitutes NSVT? I'll get a "run" of them and I'm not sure if that's normal for PVC/PACS to do. So let's say in my normal day I'll feel something like this:

Beat Beat pause THUMP Beat Beat Beat.......goes on normal.

This happens occasionally during the day and that doesn't worry me to much seeing as it is supposed to be "normal" from what I read. I'm confused on this following pattern however:

Beat Beat - pause - THUMP - 2 or 3 extremely rapid beats- pause - THUMP - 2/3 rapid beats - pause - THUMP and so on.

It'll do that for maybe 4 to 5 seconds (maybe longer) before it stops and goes back to a normal beat. Is that NSVT or just PVC/PACS acting up? I hope I explained the rhythm decent enough....it's what I feel when I check the pulse on my neck. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I get that same rhythm sometimes, and mine was caught on a heart monitor!! It was short runs of SVT! So that's nothing to worry about!
I get the occasional run of NSVT, which to me feels like 5 or 6 premature beats in a row with no normal beat in between!!
You could ask your doctor for a 24 hour heart monitor just to be sure!
But it does sound like short runs of SVT :-)

Yeah dude get a 24 hour monitor to be sure

Welcome to HealingWell. I am sorry it is under these circumstances but we do stick pretty close together and everyone on here is so supportive and kind so know we will help you in any way we can.

Without an ECG tracing of your heart rhythm they is no way to guess what kind of beats or triplets of beats you may be having.  Do make an appointment to see your Dr.  and perhaps he will order the Holter monitor.  Often when you are at the Drs. office the beats don't happen, thus a 24 hour monitor to see how many and what kind of beats your having.

Do your best not to let yourself get stressed when you feel these beats as you do not report having any sx other than feeling the strange beats.
