loperse,I am sorry to read of your problems and I hope you don't mind my questions. Did you see a cardiologist in the ER?
You mentioned you are scheduled for the 2D Echo in June which seems to long for you to wait to determine if you truly have LVH. The echocardiogram is a primary tool for diagnosing left ventricular hypertrophy. If you have left ventricular hypertrophy, your doctor will be able to see thickening of muscle tissue in the left ventricle. An echocardiogram can also reveal how much blood is pumped from the heart with each beat and how stiff the heart muscle is. It may also show related heart abnormalities, such as aortic valve stenosis.
LVH -is an abnormal increase in the mass of the left ventricular myocardium caused by a chronically increased workload on the heart.
As you are having symptoms the best advice I can give you is to talk to your Dr. re your issues and seek out the probability of moving your Echo date up.
HealingWell should never take the place of a medical Dr. so please do call your Dr.
Let us know what you find out and keep on talking with us here in the forum.
Kindly,
