Good Afternoon,

Any of the members here ever had an EPS done - if so please share your experience.

My hubby's Holter Monitor event recorded results = 1/3 of all of his heart beats are from the Ventricles.

My hubby has CHF/cardiomyopathy and he is only 67 years old.  Jung - are you out there?  And yes, you may call me Kitty.  cool

Howdy, been posting elsewhere, political stuff, just thought I'd check in.

My spell check tries to change Kitt to Kitty, have any slipped through yet?

Does your husband notice the irregular beats?

It amazes me the amount of ectopics people can have, and after being examined to be sure there's no pathology, are not a concern to their doctors and doesn't interfere with their lives.

Hello Mrs. Kitty & Mrs. Kitty's Husband,

Please help me make sure the EPS you are asking about is the same in my experience: An electrophysiology study (EPS) which is a detailed study of the heart's electrical system - if this is what you are look for - I have had two done.

1st time for Ventricular tachycardia (sometimes known as v-tach or v fib). The doctor was unable to make my heart to go into the tachycardia. This may have been due to me requesting to be put under - they needed me to be awake sudation.

2nd time for an ablation for Atrial fibrillation (AF or A-fib). With this procedure General Anesthesia was administered.

If you can reply I will explain both and give you information sites to help with what to expect. Also some helpful request you can make to help with recovery.
