hello and welcome,
I am not at all sure why a doctor would want to cath a patient who had a negative nuclear stress test and other Cardiac Testing coming back ok. I would get a second opinion from another Cardiologist before I would have this done. I am not a doctor, but I am confused
I had a Cath done in '03 but it was because I had a nuclear thalium stress test which indicated right coronary artery blockage, and they wanted to see how bad things were. I was also alot older than you.
I am really puzzled by the need for one in your post remarks.
And yes, there is always some risk with the procedure...
I was semi out, they want to be able to talk to you and let you know what is going on, and what not to do while they are still going about
their procedure. I hope this is of some help. If all of your tests are fine, I just dont get 'the peace of mind thing'.
