Experience with Flecainide

I had an ablation done two days ago. Cardiologist wants me to start taking Flecainide. Seems like a scary drug. What do you all think?

I'm a 20 year old female and I take Flecainide twice a day for my arrhythmia and the only negative side effect I have had is heartburn, but it has had and extremely positive effect on my "off beats" so I have added Prilosec to my pill regimen to help solve that problem. I know this is a bit delayed, so if you have already started I hope the experience has been positive and I hope my comment can help!

Thanks for the response. I delayed taking the Flecainide for two weeks - researched the drug a bit, talked to a few nurses, and a couple of people on the medication. Been using Flecainide for little over a month - no noticeable side effects. Heart rate is low, about 58. But that was the case prior to the ablation.

Have noticed mild stomach discomfort, burping and indigestion. Wonder if it is related to the Flecainide.

I had thought nothing of it, but when I mentioned it to my doctor, she stated it was likely due to the medication and the Prilosec has definitely solved that problem for me.
