Hi Everyone!

Libby, thanks for always thinking of me. I really do appreciate that - and ya know sometimes even being a mod, you can be human. lol :)

My BNP has jumped over a 100 points in the past few weeks. So this is not always a sign that you are looking for with heart failure - though once again, I'm still at the low end of the spectrum. So I'm starting a new med., and I'll be seeing him next week again.

so, how are YOUR new meds?  today i was given lexapro.  i know it's not new.

my doc called it "son of celexa"!  hahah, he's a funny guy -

Hi Libby! :)

Yes, I researched Lexapro when I was prescribed that and found it came from an isotope of Celexia - wala! haha I was on it for 2 yrs. with not one problem! Starting off, I felt a bit nauseated and a minor headache. Lasted a couple of days then was gone. I do hope this helps you!!

I'm starting Aldactone...a diuretic - it's working. :)

aldactone - that's a new one to me! i hope there are no side effects other than
"the obvious"!
yeah, well, doc told me to expect a little nausea etc with the lexapro but that if i
stuck it out for 5 days or so they should pass. think i'll wait 'til after this
weekend to start as sunday i'm going to the state fair (in dallas) and i want
to eat...well, like a pig! hah! i follow a strict diet about 350 days a year -
sunday it goes down the tubes!

Hi everyone, I'm having a blast with my grand daughter. tongue Spoiling her rotten.  yeah She's napping on the bed next to me with my little dog Abby. She really likes Abby. My son is threatening to kipnap my dog so Bella has a sibling. They are very cute together but my son will have to get his own little dog. Bella is afraid of my daughters big dog. She cryed when he howled. He doesn't bark much just howling. She does like to look at him and watch him from a distance though. We are taking her to the zoo tomorrow. I'll try to pop in and tell you how it goes. She went to the pumpkin patch on Wednesday and yesterday she went out to eat with her Auntie Heidi and us. Auntie Heidi works at Walmart so we ate together on her brake and Heidi got to show her off to the other employees. Well have to be to work soon. Barb

Speaking of chat! We had a good time and discussed things re the heart forum...one thing that was mentioned is that if anyone has anything that they'd like to discuss, then go ahead and start your own thread on it! tongue

hey,

i'm alright...heart is doing good still...just trying to keep up with other stuff that's going on.  asthma is acting up...done something to my left shoulder again and my right leg is killing me...from my hip down, every joint feels like it's on fire.  joy.  lol  if it's not one thing, it's another for me!  oh well...just trying to make it each day.

school is going great...love my class...they're really a wonderful group of kids.  we've been doing the iowa tests this week so it's been a stressful week for the teachers and the kids...only one more day though.  thank goodness.  :-)

I just have to brag a bit - Britt came home today from school and her class ranking is 68 out of 411 students!! Yea!! It just made my day. :)
To keep this on topic...it did my heart good! lol

ya know...this just isn't my week.  I got a bit dizzy and fell in the shower this morning...my ankle is swollen again...my head it killing me...and let's just say sitting is a bit painful right now.  i'm ready for a vacation!!  Is it Thanksgiving yet?  eyes
