lastbanana: hello, I just caught that you had surgery AAA. And I am trying to find some folks who have had the surgery, and pass some info. from the first step to getting home for recovery. I am waiting now for app. to get pics in side the heart before we move forward. I am a veteran and live in NC, use the VA hospital in Asheville, NC. He wants to see if any other damage is there, praying there are none. Then move on from there. He is still getting all necessary paper work, locating doctors, permission from VA. He also going to see what hospital to send me, Duke or Wake Forrest, not sure yet. But right now, one step at time. But I am trying to find some insight of what is going to happen from the first day and into leading up to the surgery, and the surgery it self, and then hospital stay and recovery at home and then therapy after. Looking to see any complications you may have encountered, after surgery or even during surgery that you know of. And how are you doing now. Did you have any complications after surgery while in the hospital, or recovering at home, and during therapy. Is there any thing a person can do while waiting for the surgery date? Like change in diet, taking it easy till then, I still work, I am 63. I am on med right now to help slow the heart down and thin the blood a bit. I also am a bariatric person 13 years out, from surgery, and I have had two upper GI bleed in ref of the bariatric surgery. But is there any thing you help me with any info on what to start doing now for my self in health, food, exercise, I do work, about
