Advice Please

Hi Guys,

I am normally involved in the prostate cancer forum, but now need some help here please?

Went for a pushbike ride on the weekend and maybe over done it a bit and felt a bit dizzy.

My wife insisted we call the ambulance.

I had no symptoms at all [besides the dizziness] no chest pain nothing, but the Ambos did put me on the cardio machine and told me I was in Afib. Once in the ambulance the Afib went and my heart returned to normal.

Once at hospital they took blood and told me my troponin levels where slightly elevated.
1st test - 0.062
2nd test - 0.108
3rd test- 0.051

All test done over a 18 hr period.

I ask the Doctor had I had a heart attack, and he said no. But my question is, I thought when any amount of
troponin is released into the blood, indicated a Myocardial Infarction??

Hi HT

Now you have got me confused, did you note the decimal 1st test .06 not .6

If you are say anything over .45 indicates MI, well the highest I got was .1

So are you saying I did or didn't have a MI, wow this is confusing

Yeah bp up a bit normally around 137/80.

Hello 'Happy Turtle',

I was reading through your posts and I'm wondering if you snore, or have you been diagnosed with sleep apnea? I know that snoring can be a silent killer because it could eventually lead us to having heart disease. It could be the medications, but it sounds like a lack of oxygen in general and that could happening to the best of us. I notice that when I sleep on my back, I tend to snore sometimes, and that's usually when I wake up feeling unrested and experience dizziness when exercising.

Do you think snoring could have a direct correlation with what you're currently experiencing?
