12 years with PACs and PVCs. Fed up of this. They are crippling me!

For the past 12 years I've had what doctors describe as PACs/PVCs. First noticed them when I was 18. I had ECG, electrocardiogram etc. All came back fine. I was told it's something I will just have to live with.

I'm 30 now, and I'm still plagued by these on a daily basis. Some days I will have little ones, small flutters etc. I can ignore these. Other times they're full on and each time it happens it's like a "bang" in my chest. I never get pain, although they can knock me off momentarily and cause all sorts of anxiety. Even today.

I find them worse when I lie on my back. I could be relaxing and then "BANG!". I jolt upwards. They also happen more when I am doing something like skateboarding. Although I can ignore them. When my heart is faster (during exercise) they feel like strong flutters. Only ever lasts a couple of seconds. I've had runs of them, but they are also short lived.

They cripple me, especially coupled with anxiety. I don't know how long I can cope with these.

I read some other posts on here, and people say they get 10 a minute! That to me would be torture, and I feel lucky that I don't have them that frequently but they are still bothersome.

My brother was admitted to hospital yesterday at 28 because an ECG at his doctors was abnormal. They kept him in for observation and sent him home with an anxiety diagnosis. I hope to God he doesn't have PACs/PVCs. I do not wish these on anyone.

How can I suffer with what feels like death for 12 years and still be alive? I hate them hate them hate them hate them hate them!

Yeah they're pretty horrible things to have to deal with. I wish I knew why they happened.

I know they are made worse when eating too much food, or eating too many snacks. If my stomach contains too much gas they are problematic too. I have to literally wait until it passes, before they subside. I read somewhere this is possibly related to the vegus nerve. I am intollerant to dairy though (only at times, which is odd).

I am scared one day I will have one so forceful it will cause damage. Or over the years, these forceful beats, or flutters, will do something negative.

It's time to change my diet anyway. I'm 30, and it's never been particularly good. I'm trying to find something healthy and tasty too. I switched to vegan a few years back, and only lasted a couple of months. I'm a good cook, but the food was just too bland.

Maybe a diet change could help.

I also suffer from heart palpitations and wore a halter monitor for a few days in December it showed PVC occurrences and I was told its normal. It is worse for me when laying down and trying to sleep. Mine happen quite regularly. I'm only 32 and don't want to keep having this problem.
