All Arteries clogged in heart

My grandpa is 82 he has a pace maker he went into the hospital a few days ago and they said all arteries are clogged and the guy who did the balloon test said there is nothing they can do for him.
He is alive and alert and in good spirits and his blood pressure and eveyrthing else is fine
the specialist comes in tomorrow with options . Is there anything that can be done?
My mom and family have given up all hope

I am much younger than that, I am 68. I have had a couple heart attacks, a double bypass in 2003 and several cath procedures since. My cardiologist says I have some narrowed vessels that cannot be fixed with balloons in the heart but is not concerned. The body often makes new paths for blood to flow. My cardiologists says my heart has many of these self generated vessels that he saw during the cath procedures. He has just recently okayed me for a 4 hour procedure on my neck so I guess he is just not minimizing things to make me feel better. I hope your grandfather's heart has also self generated some more vessels.

By the way, I had a double bypass and it was many years later that I found one of the bypasses had failed but the new vessels had taken up the load.

await the specialist. me a double by-pass a couple of years ago as well. but much younger. now 43. shinytop has given you excellent info. keep strong, and let us know how ya go.

Grandpa had bypass surgery two weeks ago
spent one week in ICU now the past week in a regular room
but he is hallucinating and talking crazy like hes in and out of it
what would cause this
cant get much answers from hospital

he had 4 way bypass
hes 82

also he will not eat just shakes
and cant walk now

Do you all know exactly every medication he is being given? This is a good place to start. Find out what he is being given, then go to Drugs.com & look up the drug & side effects.

Take care & I hope he gets better soon.

yes, lucidity issues sound like his med management. I was in a haze at one stage. take care.

Jessicaa, there are a couple of reasons your post could have been deleted. We have Korean spam to deal with here at HW & many of the mods use their cell phones to handle deleting spam. Some mods have accidentally banned members & fellow mods.

I am not a fan of all the kooky supplement out there. But for Me this stuff has made a big difference.

I have had 2 open hearts, totaling 5 bi-passes and a cow valve and one stent in there somewhere. This was over a 20 year period i am now 63.
To my point and need for Vida Reds? my first open heat was now 20 years ago. the last cath to check my graphs showed a lot of narrowing of the replaced vessels. Cardio Dr (which is amazing) told he/we would not stent the graph till I started having chest pains. He and I are amazed I have lasted this long pain free. Still no chest pains. Graph typically don't last this long. and many Cardio would have stented me years ago. But because my first bi-pass where done when I was 41. I only have one chance for a stent that will help open a clogging graph. Stenting a graph is rather new and that has only 8 or 10 excellency also. I feel and hope I have stumbled onto something that will add quality of life for the last protection of my time on this earth.

All i gotta say guys and gals , It has made a big difference for me.
