Normal testing, abnormal symptoms

Hi, I've decided to post here in the hopes that someone can calm my nerves, or at least point me in the direction of eventually becoming calm.

Here is a list of symptoms I've been experiencing for about half a year now, non-stop:

Shortness of breath (I can get it out, feels more difficult to get it in)
Palitations (particularly when I'm lying down to sleep, and I sleep on my stomach)
High blood pressure (Blood pressure was 128-134 earlier)
Chest, throat and upper abdominal tightness/discomfort (occasional pang of sharp pain in left ribcage)
Hot flashes
Tingling or numbness in feet or arms
Fatigued and pounding heart beat after mild exertion

Here is a list of tests I've had done, all of which came back normal:

Echo cardiogram
Stress test
ECG/EKG (6-7 times)
Lung function test
Chest X-ray
CT scan
Endoscopy
Blood work (anemia, thyroid, and routine lab work)

There was one thing that the echo cardiogram apparently revealed, and that was mitral valve regurgitation.
The cardiologist assured me that, considering how minor it was, it couldn't be causing all these symptoms.
And since these symptoms haven't gotten any worse since it came full blast I don't think the valve is getting worse.

How can I have all these symptoms of heart failure but not have heart failure?
I have just started taking medication for GERD, and for anxiety, but before I start getting my hopes up that these will have any effect, I figured I'd ask people who know more than I do.

so you think it's not that bad to get frequent palpitations? I mean, my testing was normal (kidneys too) but I'm still paranoid that my cardiologist just missed something. If i were to get a 24-hour heart monitor and document the palpitations, what would they even say since my testing was normal?

These palpitations didn't begin until my breathing became irregular due to the constant shortness of breath I have, which a few doctors think is related to GERD.

could be just pvc's. common and in the main totally benign.

I'm sorry to bump a thread that's a few weeks old, and I'm grateful for the responses I've gotten. My breathing is particularly labored today ever since I took a few hits of marijuana for the first time in a few weeks.

The upper rim of my stomach lining (it feels like the outline of the bottom of my rib cage) feels strange, tight. This sensation connects at the center of my abdomen and extends upwards all the way to my throat.

I am trying to see a Gastroenterology doctor soon, despite all these ridiculous referral pre-requisite and HMO insurance hurdles I'm jumping through.

Everyone I know insists this is all in my head. It's driving me insane.

I get light-headed, I have to breath a certain way to expand my chest as much as possible, I feel short of breath every second of every day. All I keep thinking is that the cardiologist or ENT or asthma/allergy doctor missed something. That the pulmonologist who reviewed my prior testing waved aside COPD and blood clots. That all those trips to the E.R. weren't taken seriously by the staff.

I just need someone to tell me that these symptoms aren't about to kill me, that they can be diagnosed without any doubts as GERD or other stomach related issues.I would rather die than go through another day of having no idea what is wrong with me or how much time I have left.

It sounds an awful lot like GERD. I have it. I can get it all to go away with a couple of Tums and some anti-gas chewables. You might want to try that while you're waiting to see your doctor. I've had very similar symptoms the last 2-3 years, except for the tingling and numbness. It all goes away instantly when I let out a good burp. I've stopped eating big meals, started drinking water, taking magnesium supplements. And I've been losing weight at a slow but steady pace. Each week feels better than the last. For me personally, I think I just got too heavy, hadn't exercised enough, and got into the bad habit of eating at night just before I went to bed. I still get the symptoms if I make a poor meal choice, but at least now I know I can a) prevent it through diet/exercise/weight loss, and b) stop it with anti-gas chewables and/or Tums. Also, drinking a lot of water and making sure my salt/potassium intake levels are roughly equal each day seems to have helped a lot. And skipping meals for me makes it worse.
