Hi
My husband is 31 was taken to hospital for a suspected heart attack while in the found he has RBBB heart rut gym is sinus bradycardia around 35-60 Bpm his trop T was 28 and 34 raised in palpitations .
His xdp was 0.08 and he has a CYPA his echo showed good LV moderate dilated RV with moderate impaired RV systolic function , moderate TR and dilated RA this is all ver confusing does this mean he has heart failure and will he need a operation any advice would help ?

definetly for the cardiologist. too much for me. keep strong. and let us know. important to work out the cause. obviously some brachy going on, when the term moderate is used it sometimes sounds worse than is. the ticker is quite robust. may need other tests to be conducted. breathe. will do some research on some of the terms you presented. welcome to the forum. it kinda slow.

Yeah there Is a lot in the report very hard to understand and the consultant doesn't really go into it too much back at hospital today more scans and treatment for the blood clot so fingers crossed thanks for the fast reply xx

i sort of gave up on the forum, but am still around. sorry, taken mum for vascular appt, just back, but i will get back to ya. yeah, consultants can be dicks, just seen one with mum. short and sweet on info. got to tell them, hey mate, in terms that we can understand. cardiac wards usually have a educational nurse type thing....they are good because you get the terms spoken with you and not at you with terminology that goes over our heads. there is a cool member here pratoman who is good with heart stuff, i am getting better with it. maybe pratoman might see this. straydog sometimes has a look, we have no mod here, so some have a captain cook. stray has some good knowledge as well. keep strong. sort the clot, then the rest will undfold. keep strong, and posting.

Hi lozza, I'm sorry you are both going through this. do they know what caused the blood clot? I had one recently that lodged in the lung . My heart gave some abnormal readings during that time but it recovered after several weeks/months and blood thinners to prevent new ones. I think but don't hold me to it, as long as the cause of the clot is treated and the damage isn't severe his heart should be able to recover, though it may take awhile. Please keep us updated and see if you can confirm what I said with his doctor

Hi, went back for his CT scan yesterday and the radiologist decided he didn't want to re scan him as it is too much radiation as he's only 31 and they are more than certain it is NOT a blood clot on the lung now (very strange ) as he has been getting injections to thin his blood , however still doesn't explain his gig blood readings .
He said what ever is going on is all to do with his heart , he's had a home heart monitor attached for 3 days and the cardiologist will see him in 3 months .
Feel as though we are no further forward just wish we had some answers they have said there is a lot of problems with his heart 2 yrs ago they were mild and his consultant said he would be in his 40s before they worsened but it's only been 2 yrs and it's already classed as moderate , he's now got arrhythmia and by his notes only 1 valve that seems to have good function , thanks again for the replies guys xx

I would get copies of my testing & consult with another cardiologist that has the time to sit down & answer your questions. It sounds like the one you have is too dismissive & busy to be your dr. Make a list of your questions too, as a patient we have to be prepared too. I can't give much input on what you have written above but it sure would not hurt to get another opinion.

Hi , yes that is what I'm thinking also not sure how I can get access to his medical records but I think if we had those it would help thanks for the reply xx

If any of the testing was done outside of the cardio's office your husband can request the copies & he may need to pay a small fee for the copies. Because of the privacy laws the records will not be released to you. Same thing with the cardio. It is best to call each office & request the records & they will tell him when they will have them available.
