Help - Strange Problem with veins in hands and pain

Two nights I noticed that every vein in both hands were just severely bulging while I was cleaning my mouthguard. I felt an uncomfortable pressure. The next day it continued and even typing right now brings on this huge amount of blood flow to my hands and it is extremely uncomfortable. I've been feeling some burning as well. There is some relief if I keep my hands elevated. I went to my PCP today and she seemed to think it is all normal and that I'm having anxiety because I saw all the veins. I have never seen this before and it is not normal for me. She did order a test where they will check blood flow in my hand. It could take a week. In the meantime, I'm so uncomfortable. I'm 48, perimenopause (starting to skip periods), BP is good and no signs of any heart trouble. It is so strange. Anyone who can shed light as to what it might be, I would be so grateful as I'm quite scared.

No, I have not. It is still happening! It happens particularly when my body is hot and I feel a lot of pressure in my hands. I think it is related to menopause even though my PCP says no. My endocrinologist thinks it is related however. I am just living with it! It is the strangest thing.
