My echo cardiogram said "mild" hypertrophy on LV. My ejection fraction is 55 to 60% . Wall motion normal.
But my Interventricular Septum is thick, 1.5 cm. normal is 1.2. so I'm wondering how this is "mild"
i've had hypertension on and off over the years. usually under control but sometimes gained weight and it went up.
I am only 46. and I feel like I have the heart of a 60 year old man because of the "thickness" which is bad.
anyone had any experience with this? any advice? this is new to me. I am going to get on top of this and do the best I can with exercise, low salt, BP meds, weight loss. But I don't like being 46 and being told my IVS is way over the top limit of 1.2 normal.
