Usually a beer or two is not an issue, stay within moderation, but seek medical advice.
My brother lives with Autism, and on the spectrum.
Seek advice from your dr regarding your daughter, your doc can refer you to the right people and organisations.
In Australia, am from here, we have the autism foundation, parent groups, and resources, on referral, these guys have the gold standard on the best help.
In regards to the adults, you guys need some strategies, and supports that work for you, we call it our tool box.
Many ways to assist, i use music, breathing techniques, cold water on head, being non verbal, your daughter may find a comfort blanket helpful, research here has showed good outcomes. Specific calming auditory may help, or something tactile, and usually some form of combo, like the above i mentioned. do use any signing?
The potty, may be a reward system. I confess, a male, no kids, however an adult brother living with schizophrenia was not the best, (TOILET HYGIENE) but persistance helped, i get your at your tether.
Remember you can't do it alone, and above your paid grade, even though your mum and dad. You have probably tried, potty, a reward system? Seek some professional help, and a peer group of like mums n dads with children and you adults living with autism.
Regards and positive thoughts to you,
HT.
