Recent Dx of Septal Infarct

Someone please help me, I am so scared! I spent Friday night in the hospital cardiac ward. After 3 EKG's I was sent to the local emergency room from my family Dr's office. All my EKG's showed something called Septal Infarction. I was sent home and told there wasnt anyone in to do further testing( stress test, Echocardiogram) that someone would get with me in the next week or so and schedule me for the test. I am still having the fluttering that takes my breath away and some intermittent shoulder pain. I am soooo confused they said they didnt think it was a heart attack but I read it is??? Someone please help me figure this out. Blugirl

Thanks so much Elisha, I have returned to my family Dr. and Have an appointment with a cardiologist. I did obtain a copy of my EKG and it read... Sinus arrythymia with PVC's... Anteroseptal infartion. My Dr. Explained that is a Heart attack of the muscle that seperates the cambers of the heart. However due to the fact that cardiac enzymes werent through the roof they felt comfortable releasing me, After pain had dissapated on a Nitro drip IV and Morphine. Hopefull with an appointment tomorrow morning and further testing we will see if there is a blockage of some sort and it can be repaired. No matter what it is God's Will that this happen to me, a 36 yr old mother of 3 teenaged daughters and new husband of not yet one year. I hope that he see's fit to still keep me around and make a difference somewhere in this world. Thanks again for the reply.

I hope this situation improves for you blu, I didn't have the experience to ease your worries.  I have experienced the major heart attack and glad you went to an ER.   How scary that would be for a younger person....it's not easy for an older one.  Blessings, Annie
