You would need to crush it and eat several cloves a day for the best results, it's worth a try.
Also the effects of too much calcium in the body have been studied and too much can accumalate in the arteries if not utilised effectively. Dairy products are a culprit. It is also essential to have adequate magnesium to aid effective calcium storage. Grapefruit juice is valuable in the removal of excess build up of calcium in the body, but I don't know whether it works on the heart itself!
