Arteriosclerosis

In 2000 I had two stents put in because of blocked arteries and was diagnosed with arteriosclerosis . I was told January of 2006 that I only have partially blocked arteries.  This was done with the catheterisation through the arteries.  None were more than 50%, so nothing was done at that time.  During my normal yearly physical, they checked my heart by running an EKG.  All was OK.   Lately, I have had shortness of breath (SOB) more than usual.  I have COPD so it is hard to tell if that is the cause of the SOB or if it could be my heart again. I hate to bother the doctor because the COPD has caused changes in my SOB before, but what should I do?  Can an EKG detect blocked arteries?  It has been about 3 weeks now that there has been a change in SOB (more SOB). Help!

Because you have more then one thing going, it would be best to have your doctor check you out.   I workout with others in cardio therapy that have copd and they are having problems right now because of the heat.   I had a had triple-bypass/defib.  Do you use oxygen to ease the copd?  Like els says, always best to check any new problems out.
