My Mother which is 75 just had a conjestive heart failure this past thursday, along with failing kidneys and lungs. The cadiologist says her only hope would be to insert a pacemaker but most of her arteries to her heart is blocked?
When I spoke to her Internal Medicine Doctor the day after this happened (Fri) He says she is not strong enough for any surgeries but now they are saying she needs this to live. She had this same incident in 2002 and was also told she was not strong enough for anytype of surgery. The Dr says only 15% of the heart is working, Do I tell her to take the pacemaker or worry about her making it out of surgery with all the clogged arteries?
I am needing some insight on this if its happened to anyone else on here.
Thank you!
