Everytime I Take my pulse my heart skips , my doctors don't say anything about it (I never asked )yet even when I was hooked to a finger pulse machine with audio beeps you could hear the skipping but nobody ever says anything about it . Is this a problem and what is it called so I can further investigate it on google . My pulse consistently does this whether I am having post heart attack woes or not .

it sounds like Premature Ventricular Contractions (PVC's) or Premature Atrial Contractions (PAC's) .......

Hi, Johnny!
I have had the exact same beat. My cardiologist tells me that it's actually not a skipped beat, although it sure feels like one...it is an EXTRA beat. He says it's absolutely nothing to worry about. Hard to ignore, I know, but he says all is well.

My heart has skipped half a beat for years. It started when I was pregnant with my daughter 23 years ago and didn't go away after so my doc sent me to a heart doc and they did a EKG and told me I was fine. Of course it didn't do it at all when they did the EKG but one day my regular doctor heard it do it and said it was nothing to worry about it was just skipping a half beat. When I went to the hospital ER with left shoulder blade pain and shortness of breath in 2005 my heart was skipping alot and I asked and they said some people just have that and it's nothing to worry about. I could see and hear it do it on the EKG. My doc has been inside my heart 3x and all the valves and everything are fine. I just have a stent to my LAD which has remained open since it was put in 1/4/05. Make sure you ask though it helped put my mind at ease. Barb
