Hi,
I may have to soon choose whether to get a biological or a mechanical valve replacement for my left aorta. The mechanical one lasts forever but requires lifelong use of a blood thinner, e.g. Warfarin or Coumadin. I'm wondering what sorts of activities I will be able to perform on such medication. Particularly important to me is the ability to play piano. If that's going to cause bruising in my fingers, I may have to choose the biological one. Lifting weights and biking would also be nice.
I know that for questions of bruising, age and sex matter. I'm a 30 year old guy.
Thanks a lot,
J
